Our Story
Three generations of fishing. One family's passion. A commitment to putting you on the fish of a lifetime.
Fishing Runs in the Blood
Captain Kevin Sneed was two years old the first time his father Rodney put a rod in his hands. His grandfather, Bill Sneed, had done the same thing a generation before — standing on the same docks, fishing the same waters off the Brunswick County coast. For the Sneed family, fishing was never a hobby. It was the family business, the dinner table, and the classroom all rolled into one.
Over 20 years ago, Kevin took that lifelong education and turned it into Rigged and Ready — a charter operation and bait & tackle shop built on one simple idea: treat every customer like family, and never send anyone out unprepared.
Today, Rigged and Ready operates out of Supply, NC, serving anglers up and down the coast from Holden Beach to Myrtle Beach. Kevin holds a US Coast Guard 100-Ton Master's Endorsement and runs a fleet of two Contender boats — each one maintained to the same exacting standard his grandfather taught him. The bait & tackle shop at 1096-7 Sabbath Home Rd is open daily from 7 AM to 7 PM, stocked with everything from live bait to custom rigs.
“A charter with us will not be a disappointment, you have my word on it!”
— Capt. Kevin Sneed
Built on These Waters
Every trip, every rig, every handshake at the shop — it all comes back to a few things we believe in.
Born on the Water
Three generations of Sneeds have fished these waters. Kevin learned to bait a hook before he could tie his shoes. This isn't a business we started — it's a life we were born into.
First-Class Equipment
Every rod, reel, and rig is maintained to the highest standard. When we say "rigged and ready," we mean it — you show up, we handle the rest.
Your Trip, Your Way
No cookie-cutter charters. Whether you're putting kids on their first fish or chasing bluefin in the Gulf Stream, we build every trip around what you want.
Community First
We live here. We fish here. We raise our families here. Supporting the local fishing community and keeping these traditions alive is what drives everything we do.
Two Contenders. One Standard.
We run a fleet of two Contender boats — a 35' and a 31' — each one built for the Carolina coast and maintained like our reputation depends on it. Because it does. Every boat carries a max of 6 passengers so you never feel crowded, and every trip comes with first-class equipment, perfectly rigged and ready.
From inshore creeks to offshore adventures, we match the right boat to the right trip. That's the advantage of having a fleet — you always get the best ride for the water you're fishing.

Capt. Will Werner
USCG Six-Pack License
Captain Will grew up fishing the inshore and nearshore waters of Holden Beach. During high school, he lived overseas in Thailand and Abu Dhabi, expanding his fishing experience internationally — from Mekong catfish and Arapaima to queen fish and trevally.

Veteran Angler
Captain JP grew up fishing the waterways and nearshore wrecks of Carolina and Kure Beach. With decades of experience in fresh and saltwater fishing, he specializes in King mackerel year-round and bluefin tuna during winter months.
Jack Watson
The Next Generation
At just 17, Little Jack is already making a name for himself on the water. Kevin's bringing him up the right way — learning the ropes, rigging baits, and putting in the work that turns a kid who loves fishing into a captain.
